After a combined forty years of experience in sales, management, and customer service in the insurance industry, Barbara Atherton decided to establish her own independent agency based upon meeting people's needs and building long-term customer relationships rather than on meeting sales quotas. So in 1992, she founded Insurance Alternatives with her two daughters, Michele and Abigail. Thanks to a focus on personal service, individual solutions, and competitive prices, the agency now serves over 2,000 individuals, families, and businesses in Connecticut.
